Technical Communities, Inc. Names Alfredo Perez as Vice President-Business Development

Perez Will Participate in the Company?s Government-Focused IT and Computer Sales Growth

SAN BRUNO, CA , October 31, 2006 — Technical Communities, Inc., the leading service provider for manufacturers of technical equipment that sell to U.S. government agencies and prime federal contractors, today announced that Alfredo Perez will join the company as a Vice President-Business Development.

Perez, who will be based in the Washington, DC-area, comes to Technical Communities from IPIX Corporation of Reston, Virginia, where he was Vice President of Sales. In his new role, he will report directly to company President and CEO Peter Ostrow.

As a Vice President-Business Development, Perez will assume responsibility for a strategic approach to the company?s continued business expansion of GSA distribution of IT products and services. He will be directly responsible for the establishment of agreements between Technical Communities and manufacturers as well as ongoing sales strategy.

At IPIX, Perez managed the sales team and channel partners selling surveillance solutions to Fortune 500 companies and the federal government. Prior to IPIX, Perez was Regional Vice President of Sales for Southeast, Mid-Atlantic Region & Latin America for McDATA Corporation of Broomfield, Colorado. There he was responsible for $47.5 million in revenue of SAN solutions including network directors, switches and SAN management software to Fortune 500 companies. Perez also held sales management positions at Sterling Software and BMC Software.
