Anritsu’s Specialized Test Solutions Now Easier to Research and Buy for Military Personnel, and Government Users and Contractors

San Bruno, CA and Richardson, TX (October 28, 2003) ¾ Anritsu Company, a world leader in test and measurement solutions, announced a partnership with TestMart, the leading marketplace operator and service provider for the test and measurement industry whereby TestMart will provide a set of government marketplace services to Anritsu Company. The partnership is part of Anritsu’s strategic business plan towards the military and government agencies, and allows TestMart to better serve the authorized military personnel, and government users and contractors who purchase equipment through TestMart’s government services group.
The agreement authorizes TestMart to offer a catalog of Anritsu products that will be made available for sale specifically in the government and military channel. TestMart will offer this catalog under a set of General Services Administration (GSA) Multiple Award Schedules and will provide to Anritsu content, transaction, marketing and reporting services to help support the sale of the products in the catalog. TestMart will provide the presentation and ordering processing of these products though the GSA’s e-commerce Web site, GSA Advantage!, and through TestMart’s NAVICPmart service, a test equipment e-commerce marketplace operated under contract from the federal government specifically for the use of the U.S. military, federal agencies and their contractors.
Under terms of the partnership, Anritsu’s test solutions that are applicable for military and government applications will be available. These test solutions include OTDRs, signal generators, Site Master™ hand-held cable and antenna analyzers, vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and tunable laser sources, as well as high-speed devices. “Anritsu is a highly in-demand and respected brand in the test equipment industry and we consider ourselves fortunate to have the opportunity to work with such an excellent partner in the government sector,” said Peter Ostrow, President and CEO of TestMart. “The addition of the Anritsu contract products means that authorized buyers can now research and select from many new test and measurement products that are all under contract and are compliant with the federal Competition in Contracting Act (CICA). Specifically, the new Anritsu-GSA Schedule products augment the existing products in the NAVICPmart catalog where the pricing, terms and conditions are pre-negotiated and pre-approved for purchase by federal and military personnel.”
The partnership addresses Anritsu’s business charter, which includes strong penetration into the military and government markets. Anritsu has implemented a business plan that will result in improved sales into these key market segments. The business plan includes developing test equipment for specific military and government applications, as well as improved sales and distribution. TestMart’s marketing niche within the U.S. government test equipment marketplace will prove especially beneficial in Anritsu reaching its goals, according to Phil Bowen, VP & GM, Anritsu Americas Region.
