TestMartTM, the leading information and commerce marketplace for the $100 billion precision instrument industry, today announced that Brooke Seawell, a partner with Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV) has joined its Board of Directors. TCV recently lead a $26 million third round of financing for the company.
“At this critical stage in TestMart’s growth, Brooke’s counsel and experience with business-to-business, eBusiness applications and Internet infrastructure firms will prove invaluable,” said Peter M. Ostrow, TestMart president and CEO.
Seawell joined TCV as a general partner in February 2000. Prior to TCV, Seawell was executive vice president of NetDynamics, an Internet application server software company. From 1991 to 1997, he was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Synopsys, an electronic design automation software company. Seawell received a B.A. and M.B.A. from Stanford University. He is currently on the Board of Directors of Accrue Software, Informatica Corporation, Mediaplex, NVIDIA Corporation and several privately held companies.
