Government, military, and federal contractors can now streamline purchase of BreakingPoint application performance and security testing products

SAN BRUNO, CA and AUSTIN, TX, APRIL 7, 2008 — Technical Communities announced today a government services partnership agreement with BreakingPoint Systems, a leading provider of high performance application testing systems to network equipment manufacturers, service providers, U.S. government agencies, military organizations, and prime federal contractors. The agreement authorizes Technical Communities to provide government organizations with BreakingPoint products, service agreements and warranties including the BreakingPoint BPS-1000 and BPS-10k. With BreakingPoint products and services, government organizations can ensure the success of high performance computing and network security initiatives.

The BreakingPoint BPS-1000 and BPS-10k are the industry’s first application testing systems that provide all of the components required for today’s complex, dynamic, and high performance test environments in a single, easy to use device. Only BreakingPoint products generate a realistic blend of business, recreational, and malicious application traffic at speeds up to 10 Gigabit per second to effectively test next generation networks and network equipment. BreakingPoint also provides an AppExpress service that combines advanced surveillance techniques and methodologies to identify and capture emergent applications and security threats, and deliver them to customers in as little as a day. In addition to providing support for more than 25 applications for performance testing, BreakingPoint products can be used to generate up to 16.8 million unique attacks in 24 hours and 750,000 DDOS attacks per second for the most effective security testing.
