Technical Communities and CompTIA Team to Expand Government Access to CompTIA Certifications

New agreement makes it easier for GSA buyers to purchase exam vouchers

SAN BRUNO, CA and OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL, DECEMBER 1, 2009 Technical Communities, Inc., the company technical organizations who sell to the government rely on for proven go-to-market solutions to grow sales, lower costs and reduce risks, today announced a government service partnership agreement with CompTIA, the leading provider of vendor neutral certification for technology workers.

The agreement authorizes Technical Communities to offer CompTIA certification exams including CompTIA A+, the industry standard for computer support technicians; CompTIA Network+, which validates competency in basic network infrastructure skills; and CompTIA Security+, sought by knowledgeable professionals in the field of security. All three certifications are recognized as approved credentials to meet certain requirements of U.S. Department of Defense Directive 8570.1M, which provides guidance and procedures for the training, certification, and management of military and civilian personnel with responsibilities for information assurance.

Other CompTIA certifications included in the agreement are CompTIA CDIA+, Convergence+, CTT+, DHTI+, Linux+, PDI+, Project+, RFID+, and Server+.
