Technical Communities Names Thomas Mattingly as Director of Business Development

Mattingly will participate in the company’s continued expansion of GSA distribution of IT products and services

SAN BRUNO, CA and HERNDON, VA August 26, 2008 — Technical Communities, leading service provider for technical organizations that sell to U.S. government agencies, military organizations, and prime federal contractors, announced today that Thomas Mattingly will join the company as Director of Business Development.

Mattingly will be based in Technical Communities’ Washington, DC regional office in Herndon, VA. He will work with Jeremiah Cunningham, Vice President of Business Development, on strategic partnerships development in the government-focused information technology sector. He will be responsible for the establishment of agreements between Technical Communities and manufacturers as well as ongoing business development strategy.

Mattingly comes to Technical Communities from CDW-G, where he was the Strategic Sales Manager for seven years. Prior to CDW-G, Mattingly was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for V Squared, a Decision Support Systems company in Virginia. He was responsible for development and growth of major account market and a liaison between account managers and prime contractors. Prior to V Squared, Mattingly was the Director of Marketing at Decision Support Systems, a regional distributor in Virginia which sold computer products to government and commercial clients. There he enhanced sales with effective marketing tools and positioned key manufacturers within the channel to promote product and brand awareness. Mattingly also held memberships in the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), Association of the United States Army (AUSA), and the Industry Advisory Council (IAC).
