CompTIA’s vendor-neutral certifications ensure employees have the essential business skills and knowledge to support technologies in IT job roles. Developed with the support of IT industry-leading companies and organizations, CompTIA certifications increase employee retention and productivity.
Four popular certifications are recognized as approved credentials to meet certain requirements of U.S. Department of Defense Directive 8570.01-M. This directive provides guidance and procedures for the training, certification, and management of military and civilian personnel with responsibilities for information assurance:
- CompTIA A+ covers maintenance, basic networking, preventive maintenance of hardware and software components, installation and configuration of PCs, laptops, and operating systems;
- CompTIA Network+ covers management, maintenance, troubleshooting, operation, security, installation and configuration of basic network infrastructure;
